Party Casino Account Restricted

A restricted Party Casino account is usually a paperwork or safety hold, not a verdict. Here is why it happens, what to send, and how to escalate if support does not solve it.

In short

Most restrictions come from unfinished identity checks, a second account, a payment problem or a limit you set yourself. Start with Customer Support, send clear documents, and keep every reply. If the answer stalls, use the complaints route for your province.

Why Party Casino restricts an account

A restriction means the casino has limited what the account can do: play, deposit, withdraw or log in. It is almost always tied to one specific cause, and most causes can be fixed or at least explained.

Party Casino, owned by Entain, runs separate set-ups for Ontario, Alberta and the rest of Canada, and the terms differ slightly between them. The grounds below come from the Canadian and Ontario terms and help pages. Your first move is to find out which ground applies to you, because the fix for missing documents is nothing like the fix for a duplicate account.

If you are still setting up, our sign-up guide shows the documents worth having ready, and the login page guide covers access problems that are not restrictions at all, such as a forgotten password.

Illustration of a player checking account status and documents

A useful habit is to separate three situations before you write to anyone. First, the account is blocked outright and you cannot log in. Second, you can log in but deposits, play or withdrawals are limited. Third, a single withdrawal is simply pending. The third is often just the normal internal review of up to 2 business days, followed by the method time, and is not a restriction at all.

Five steps to get a restricted account reviewed

Follow these in order. Each one removes a possible cause before you spend time on the next.

  1. 1

    Read the message

Open the notice in your account or the support reply and note the exact reason given: documents, security review, duplicate account, payment or a limit you set.

  2. 2

    Check your own settings

Look at your time-out, self-exclusion and deposit limit pages. A break or exclusion you set yourself can look like a restriction and follows its own rules.

  3. 3

    Prepare clear documents

Use a passport, national ID card or driving licence, plus a utility bill or bank statement for address. In Ontario you can do a liveness check with a selfie and Canadian ID instead.

  4. 4

    Contact Customer Support

Use live chat after login, state your username and the reason you were given, upload the files and ask what is still missing. Save the chat transcript.

  5. 5

Wait for the review, then follow up

Ontario reviews usually take 24-48 hours. If the account stays restricted, ask for a written reason and move to the complaints route for your province.

Two details make the process faster. Upload documents that are sharp, uncropped and in date, with all four corners visible, and make sure the name matches the name on the account and on your payment method. A mismatch between the account name and the card or e-wallet is one of the most common reasons a review drags on.

Support is a 24/7 team reached through the Customer Support page or live chat after login. No phone number is published, so do not trust anyone who offers one.

Where to look in the app

These two official App Store images show the parts of the app you will use most while sorting this out: the cashier area and the lobby. They do not show a restriction message.

What to do if support did not fix it

If chat gives you a vague answer or nothing changes after the review window, escalate in writing. Ask for the specific clause or reason, attach what you already sent, and say what outcome you want: access restored, a withdrawal released, or a clear explanation.

  • Rest of Canada

Customer Support first, then the operator's complaints team, which gives a final answer within 45 days. After that, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

  • Ontario

The operator has up to 90 days. Then iGaming Ontario for transactions and service, or AGCO for responsible gambling and compliance.

  • Alberta

The Alberta site is regulated by the AGLC. Start with Customer Support and keep your records for any further step.

Good to know: the Kahnawake register of permit-holders is public at gamingcommission.ca. Our licence page explains the three set-ups in more detail.

Do not stop playing by switching to another device or browser in the hope the block goes away. It will not, and repeated attempts only add noise to the case. Wait for the written answer, and if you have a pending withdrawal, you can reverse it in the cashier until it is dispatched, which is useful if you decide to keep playing instead.

Keep complaints calm and factual. Dates, ticket numbers and screenshots of your own account pages help a reviewer far more than long messages. For a stuck payout specifically, see withdrawal limits and timings.

Common problems behind a restriction

These are the grounds named in the terms and help pages, grouped by what you can do about them.

Problems you can usually fix

  • Verification pending or failed: until it is complete, the account can be limited so only deposits plus winnings are withdrawable. It may be suspended or closed if verification fails, and the balance can be held meanwhile.
  • Payment method mismatch: a withdrawal needs a verified method in your own name, and money goes back to the deposit method first.
  • A break you set: a time-out ends on its own. In Ontario it lasts 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months. Outside Ontario it is 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or any period up to 6 weeks.
  • Dormancy: outside Ontario, 365 days of inactivity can bring a fee every 30 days (the amount is not published in CAD). After 18 months the balance may be withheld and the account closed.

Problems that are harder or final

  • Duplicate account: only one account per person is allowed, and a closed or blocked account cannot re-register.
  • Fraud, collusion or charge-backs: the balance can be withheld and winnings forfeited.
  • Under-age play: transactions are voided and the account is closed.
  • Security review or signs of a gaming disorder: the casino can review an account at any time and may act if it sees signs of harm.

Two more cases look like restrictions but are choices. Self-exclusion in Ontario runs 6 months to 5 years and does not reopen automatically; outside Ontario the minimum is 6 months and it applies across Entain Group platforms. A closure on request needs written notice with a 7-day notice period, so withdraw your balance first. More on the tools in our responsible gambling guide.

Watch out: do not open a new account to get around a restriction. It breaks the one-account rule and can make the original case worse.

Who this guide does not suit

This page explains a general process. It will not help in these cases.

  • You are under 19 in Ontario or the rest of Canada (18 in Alberta). Under-age accounts are closed and transactions voided, and no document will change that.
  • You want to keep a second account or share one with someone. Neither is allowed.
  • You excluded yourself on purpose and want a quick way back. Waiting out the period is the point of the tool. If you are struggling, ConnexOntario is on 1-866-531-2600, 24/7, and the Responsible Gambling Council lists more help.
  • You live in New Brunswick and want a local regulator ruling. See the New Brunswick page instead.

Our check: what we looked at and when

On 9 October 2026 we read the Canadian and Ontario terms and conditions and help pages, plus the responsible gambling pages, and compared how the two set-ups handle verification, dormancy, time-outs, self-exclusion and complaints. We also looked at the official App Store screenshots used above.

We did not have an account restricted for this guide, so we describe the process the published pages set out, not a personal case. Fee amounts, review times for the rest of Canada and some limits are not published, and we say so instead of guessing. Learn more about who writes this site on the about page.

Party Casino account restricted: questions answered

Why is my Party Casino account restricted?

The usual reasons are unfinished or failed verification, a second account, a payment dispute or charge-back, a security review, or a limit or break you set yourself. The message in your account or from Customer Support should say which one applies.

How long does verification take?

In Ontario, the help pages say a review usually takes 24-48 hours. For the rest of Canada no fixed time is published, so ask support when you upload.

Can I withdraw while my account is restricted?

It depends on the restriction. While verification is incomplete, the account can be limited so that only deposits plus winnings are withdrawable, and the balance can be held. A security or fraud review can hold it longer.

Is a self-exclusion the same as a restriction?

No. A self-exclusion or time-out is your own choice. A time-out ends by itself. An Ontario self-exclusion does not reopen automatically, and in the rest of Canada it can be revoked only after six months through Customer Service.

Will an inactive account be closed?

Outside Ontario, an account counts as inactive after 365 days, a monthly inactivity fee may apply (the CAD amount is not published), and after 18 months the balance may be withheld and the account closed. The Ontario terms have no fee clause.

Can I open a new account after a closure?

No. A closed or blocked account cannot register again, and a second account is itself a reason for restriction. If you want to return, ask support about the existing account.

Who do I complain to if support does not help?

Outside Ontario and Alberta, go to the operator's complaints team (final answer within 45 days), then the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. In Ontario, the operator has up to 90 days, then iGaming Ontario or AGCO.
