What this site is and what it covers

The pages here follow one casino, Party Casino, and answer the questions a Canadian player usually has before and after opening an account.

Canada does not have a single rulebook for online casinos. Ontario and Alberta run their own regulated markets, and players in the rest of the country use a separate set-up, so the same casino can look different from one province to the next. We write each page with that in mind and say which version of the site a fact applies to, instead of blending them into one story.

The guide starts on the homepage, which gives the overview of the casino. From there the pages split by topic, so you can go straight to the question you have.

  • Bonuses: how welcome offers and promotions are structured and what to read in the terms.
  • Sign-up: creating an account and getting verified.
  • Login: signing in, the app and what to do when access fails.
  • Withdrawals: methods, review times and the limits that are and are not published.
  • Licence: the regulators behind each Canadian set-up.
  • Responsible gambling: limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
  • Account restrictions: why an account gets limited and how to resolve it.
  • New Brunswick: how online play works for players in that province.

Writes and re-checks pages

James Mitchell is a Senior Casino Analyst with more than 12 years in iGaming. On this site he writes every page and is the person who goes back to it when something changes. If a withdrawal rule, a regulator's page or the casino's terms move, the matching page is his to correct.

Having one named author keeps the guide consistent. The same person reads the operator's terms, compares them with the registers and decides what goes on the page, so the tone and the level of detail stay the same from the sign-up guide to the licence page. His name appears in the author line at the bottom of every page, next to the three dates explained below.

How we check pages and what the dates mean

Each page ends with an author line that carries three dates. They answer different questions, and they are not the same thing.

  • Published

The day the page first went live. It is fixed and never changes, even after later edits.

  • Last updated

The day the text last really changed. A new fact, a corrected number or a rewritten section moves it; a typo or a purely technical tweak does not.

  • Reviewed

The last time the facts were re-checked against the operator's terms and help pages and against the regulators' registers.

A page can therefore be reviewed recently and still show an older Last updated date. That simply means the facts were checked and nothing needed to change. If Reviewed is old, treat the details with some caution and confirm them on the casino site before you act.

Good to know: terms, limits and provincial rules can change without notice. The dates tell you how fresh our check is, and the casino's own pages always have the final word.

Where the facts come from

We use primary sources: documents and registers published by the operator and by the regulators. Forum posts and second-hand summaries are not a basis for a fact on these pages.

  1. 1

    Operator documents

The terms and conditions, the help centres and the cashier pages of Party Casino.

  2. 2

    Kahnawake

The permit-holder list of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission for the rest-of-Canada site.

  3. 3

    Ontario

The iGaming Ontario directory and the AGCO for the Ontario site.

  4. 4

    Alberta

The AGLC for the Alberta site, which has its own rules and a different minimum age.

When the casino does not publish something, such as a daily withdrawal cap, we say that it is not published rather than guess a number. Where the answer depends on your province, the page says so and names the set-up it describes.

What we do not do

We do not

  • Invent ratings, scores or player counts.
  • Print player quotes or made-up testimonials.
  • Publish a number the casino has not published.
  • Take deposits or hold your money.

We do

  • Name the source behind each important fact.
  • Separate the three Canadian set-ups.
  • Show the dates on every page.
  • Correct pages when the terms change.

The only scored table on the site is the weighted checklist on the licence page, where every weight is shown and the total is calculated from the rows. When you read about player experience elsewhere on the site, it is a plain summary of what the casino offers, never an invented voice.

Responsible gambling and age limits

Casino games are entertainment, not income, and nothing here promises a win. Play only with money you can afford to lose, and set a deposit limit before you start. The responsible gambling page walks through the limits, time-outs and self-exclusion that Party Casino offers.

  • Age: you must be 19 or older in most provinces, and 18 or older in Alberta.
  • ConnexOntario: free help in Ontario at 1-866-531-2600, 24/7, at connexontario.ca.
  • Responsible Gambling Council: tools, tips and information at responsiblegambling.org.

If gambling stops feeling like fun, take a break and talk to someone. Players in New Brunswick can find their local help line on the New Brunswick page.

Questions about this site

Who writes the pages on this site?

All pages are written and re-checked by James Mitchell, Senior Casino Analyst, who has worked in iGaming for more than 12 years. His profile is in the author section above.

How often are the pages updated?

A page is changed when something it describes changes, and it is re-checked against the operator's terms and the regulators' registers on a regular basis. The dates at the bottom of each page show both.

What do Published, Last updated and Reviewed mean?

Published is the day the page first went live and never changes. Last updated moves only when the text really changes. Reviewed is the last day the facts were compared with the casino's terms, help pages and the official registers.

Can I deposit or play on this site?

No. This site takes no deposits and holds no money. The buttons open the Party Casino site in a new tab, and every payment is made there, in your own account.

Where can I get help with gambling?

In Ontario you can contact ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600, any time of day. The Responsible Gambling Council also lists tools and support, and our responsible gambling page explains the limits and exclusion options at the casino.
